Anita Briem has been an actor in Iceland for more than 20 years. Anita Briesm is an Icelandic performer, is best known for playing Jane Seymour (the young woman who would later become the wife to Henry VIII) in the television show The Tudors. Also for her role as Hannah in the 2008 movie Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem's acting journey began in the National Theater Iceland when she was just nine years old. In her early years as a child actor, she participated in various plays in radio and television shows from her homeland of Iceland. Briem was a child performer at age sixteen when she emigrated to London. She was a part of an adaptation of Lenin as part of Love by the New End Theater. Briem received his degree from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at the age of 19 and was awarded the John Barton Prize and a Diploma in Drama.
