Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead actor in Stephen Schwartz's famous 1971 musical "Pippin" in Broadway. Diane Paulus won the Tony Award at the 67th annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" is a musical that starred Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina successfully put a contemporary spin on the role created by the award-winning Ben Vereen and mastered the Fosse motions that the show relies so heavily on. Patina was nominated for an Tony Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award as well as a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award. She also won an Drama League Award as Best actress for a Leading Role and an Outer Critics Circle Award as Outstanding Actress for a musical. From December 2012 until December 2012, she played The Leading Player of American Repertory Theatre's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
