Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is a famous American actress. Kellie Martin has appeared in numerous TV shows like "Christy", a comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. Her other notable roles include her title character in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. Her first acting experience was at seven years old when her Aunt, who was a nanny in Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as a guest star on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. Following her graduation from Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the small and large screen. Martin has also been a photographer and a dancer. Being a mom to two kids, she's become the official spokesperson of national for Lupus. She has promoted awareness of this disease ever since her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
